What even IS SLIIK© Fitness anyway?

SLIIK© was created to challenge the parameters of standard group fitness classes. When it comes to group exercise, there are usually two schools of classes.... 



1️⃣ The hyped up, high energy dance fitness, boxing and HIIT style classes... with a fast pace, high energy and lots of whooping! 

 

...The problem is.... some people find this a bit too much and want something calmer or slower. Maybe they're returning to fitness after a break or injury and want to ease themselves back in, or maybe they're conscious of their joints or pelvic floor and don't fancy jumping around....

2️⃣ The Mind-Body genre... often comprising of Pilates and Yoga style classes with a slower pace and calmer atmosphere

 

...The problem is... some people might still want music to motivate them. They may still crave the joy of dance and want something rhythmical and motivating.... slower classes just might not be for them.
